Energy: Protect Your Infrastructure from Cyber Threats
Protect your critical infrastructure and ensure service continuity with advanced threat detection tailored to the energy sector’s specific requirements.
Critical infrastructure under constant threat
The energy sector is a prime target for state-sponsored cyberattacks and cybercriminal groups. According to the IBM X-Force 2025 report, the energy sector accounted for 10% of global incidents in 2024, and critical infrastructure was the target of 70% of the attacks handled. In December 2025, a series of coordinated attacks designed to cause destruction targeted Poland’s electrical infrastructure—a first for a European Union member state, according to ANSSI’s 2025 Cyber Threat Panorama. In France, critical infrastructure operators in the energy sector remain under surveillance: ANSSI notes the continuation of attacks targeting renewable energy production facilities, confirming a shift toward sabotage tactics that calls for vigilance.
Stricter regulatory requirements
In light of this exposure, the NIS2 Directive and the Military Programming Act require energy sector operators (most of whom are classified as OIVs or OSEs) to strengthen their security posture. Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) environments and industrial control systems require tailored protection solutions capable of operating in offline mode or with controlled connectivity. In this context, the sovereignty of the deployed solutions becomes a key factor in meeting compliance requirements and addressing geopolitical risks.
